Upper Primary ASA Orchestra
A once per week ensemble blending Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion with Strings.
This is an Advanced ensemble and would suit Advanced instrumentalists.
The Onsom group aim is to provide enthusiastic String, Wind, Brass and Percussion UP students to collaboratively rehearse and perform as a large orchestra ensemble, enabling it’s participants to further enriching the artistic education and performance experience of the UP Band and String ASA musicians.
Students in the Onsom Orchestra are in Grade 3-5.
Learning Expectations for the Onsom Ensemble student:
Engage in teamwork and cooperation by working together to create and perform Instrumental Orchestral music.
Refine listening, visual and aural literacy, increase technical skills and interpretation of music.
Develop and refine personal skills, habits, and processes for success in learning music.
Extend personal and artistic expression and deepen aesthetic awareness through music appreciation and performance.
